About the Navy

The Navy projects power across the world's oceans, operating ships, submarines, and aircraft. Its 'ratings' (jobs) include some of the most technical roles in the military.

Jobs you could qualify for

Your ASVAB subtest scores (line scores) determine which jobs are open to you. Navy fields include:

Nuclear powerAviationHospital corpsmanIT & cyberMachinist & engineeringSurface & submarine operations

Specific job eligibility depends on line scores, medical screening, and sometimes a clearance. The app’s MOS matching estimates which you qualify for from your practice scores.

Fitness & body composition

Navyhas its own physical fitness test, plus a body-composition standard. Since 2026 that’s a waist-to-height ratio (waist at the navel ÷ height) — 0.55 for most branches, 0.52 for the Marine Corps — which replaced the old height/weight tables and body-fat tape test. Rather than quote numbers that change, the app lets you check exactly where you stand against current standards.
